Bank of America
City Year shares a long history with Bank of America and its predecessors. More than 15 years ago, Bank of Boston signed on as a founding sponsor of City Year, Inc. and was the first company in the nation to sponsor a City Year team. Bank of America continued this tradition by serving as Presenting Sponsor of cyzygy '04,
City Year's annual convention of idealism, to celebrate City Year's 15th anniversary. In 2004, Bank of America committed to a historic partnership by signing on to be a National Leadership Sponsor and becoming the first ever National Lead Partner for the Young Heroes program.

Comcast
Comcast's initial involvement with City Year came in 2001 when The Comcast Foundation funded the City Year Detroit Leadership Development and Training program. CSX
It was a chance viewing of City Year Boston's 1994 Opening Day that introduced CSX to City Year and provided the initial inspiration for what has become a long-term partnership. Within weeks, the company signed on as a team sponsor. CSX now sponsors teams, Camp City Year and service days across the City Year network. In August 2003, CSX signed on as a National Leadership Sponsor. A major focus of CSX's partnership with City Year is to leverage City Year's Care Force service initiative to directly impact and positively transform at least eight additional communities across the country by engaging CSX employees, customers and community members in a day of service.

Timberland
In 1989, City Year co-founders Alan Khazei and Michael Brown approached The Timberland Company and Jeffrey Swartz, now CEO, with a practical request. They needed 50 pairs of boots for City Year corps members who were preparing to serve in the neighborhoods of Boston. What began with that donation has since developed into a much deeper partnership: Timberland was the first company to become a National Leadership Sponsor; Swartz served as Chair of City Year's National Board of Trustees from 1994 to 2002; and the company is now City Year's Official Outfitter. With City Year, Timberland seeks to redefine what a company and a nonprofit organization can do together.

T-Mobile
T-Mobile's thirty thousand U.S. employees do more than simply provide wireless phone and data service. They specialize in keeping people connected to those who matter most. The company's first-ever national community outreach program is called "T-Mobile Huddle Up." This program targets children from single parent families in urban communities who can't afford a safe and reliable afterschool option. City Year was a natural partner to help T-Mobile make important afterschool connections. In 2006, T-Mobile USA became a National Leadership Sponsor, committing millions of dollars in funding and resources over three years. As a part of this sponsorship, T-Mobile is now City Year's Official Telecommunications Partner, our national lead afterschool partner, a team sponsor for City Year Seattle, and a Care Force® service day partner. |
