Writing a Good Starfish Story
A Starfish is an incident or event where YOU were able to make a difference, especially in your service. Please remember that a Starfish is about you making a difference to others, not others making a difference to you – while that’s always great, it’s someone else’s Starfish. When writing your Starfish Story, be sure to use specifics including the names of people involved and the location. Use actual quotes whenever you can. You can make sure you’re telling the whole story by addressing the following questions: • Where did your Starfish take place? What were the circumstances? • What happened? • What was your role? What did others do? • How did you make a difference? • What did you learn about yourself and/or your service from this Starfish? | |
